Apache Marmotta has a very strong relatioship with research: The project was initiated by Salzburg Research and the Salzburg NewMediaLab, a K-Project in the Austrian COMET-programme. The KiWi Triple Store is an outcome of the KiWi (Knowledge in a Wiki, FP7 grant agreement no. 211932). Since that the project has been getting some contributions from different research projects: MICO (Media in Context, FP7 grant agreement no. 610480), Fusepool P3 (FP7 grant agreement no. 609696), SSIX (H2020 grant agreement no. 645425), TourPack (FFG grant agreement no. 845600), and some others that will come.
All the companies that contribute with the time of their employees making Apache Marmotta a better software.
